Introduction. From February 22, 2022, international business, namely the export and import of goods with Ukraine, has undergone significant changes. Many transport routes have become unsafe or inaccessible, leading to disruptions in logistics and supply chains. Checkpoints in western Ukraine have become the only transport corridors for Ukrainian exporters to EU markets. The importance of finding ways to end the blockade of the Ukrainian-Polish border determines the relevance of the research The purpose of the paper is to identify the causes and consequences of blocking the Ukrainian-Polish border and to provide certain recommendations for resolving the conflict in order to increase the country's export-import potential. Results. With the beginning of the full-scale war, transportation by road transport across the western borders, namely: "Krakowec – Korchowa", "Yagodyn – Dorogusk", "Rava-Ruska – Grebenne", "Shegyny – Medica", "Ustylug – Zosyn" and "Nyzhankovychi – Malchowice", became one of the safest types of export and import of Ukrainian goods with the European Union. However, due to the blockade of the Ukrainian-Polish border, international business suffered significant losses. First, the consequence of the blockade is significant losses for Ukraine, which amount to: imports - $500 million and exports - $160 million, according to the National Bank of Ukraine. Secondly, Ukraine suffered significant losses also due to damage to transport and the spilling of grain and other goods from trucks by Polish transporters. Thirdly, due to the blockade, organizations that provide military assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine face delays in the delivery of critical goods. Ending the blockade of the Ukrainian-Polish border is extremely important, because not only the economic well-being of Ukraine and Poland depends on it, but also the humanitarian situation in both countries. Conclusion. To resolve the conflict, negotiations between the governments of both countries, the search for compromise solutions, the implementation of special temporary measures to facilitate movement across the border, and the involvement of international mediators, if necessary, are proposed. It is important to emphasize the importance of cooperation and dialogue between Ukraine and Poland to ensure stability, development and prosperity of both countries and the region as a whole.
