Виявлено, що право на інформацію про діяльність органів публічної влади пов’язане із більш загальним конституційним правом кожного вільно збирати, зберігати й поширювати інформацію будь-яким законним способом. Важливою гарантією, яка забезпечує реалізацію права громадян на інформацію про діяльність органів публічної влади є принцип транспарентності, визначальними ознаками якого є такі поняття, як прозорість, відкритість, гласність, публічність, підзвітність. Зроблено висновок, що забезпечення реалізації права на інформацію про діяльність публічної влади покладається саме на органи публічної влади, які зобов’язані забезпечити належний доступ до повної та об’єктивної інформації про свою діяльність.
