Метою дослідження є вдосконалення обліку та контролю поточних зобов’язань. Досліджено найбільш суттєві проблеми сучасної господарської діяльності вітчизняної економіки: низька договірна дисципліна, криза неплатежів, глобальне хронічне порушення термінів та умов оплати за зобов’язаннями, насамперед за поточними зобов’язаннями. Запропоновано низку заходів для усунення порушень в обліку, контролі поточних зобов’язань та запобігання їх у майбутньому; недопущення у практиці господарської діяльності, обліку та контролі зривів строків та умов оплати за зобов’язаннями.
